Teams, roles, and settings

Domain-based workspaces, owner vs viewer vs none, seats per plan, the login policy, signed-in devices, and every settings tab.

How a workspace forms

SlashPeak groups people by email domain.

  1. The first person to sign up with @yourcompany.com creates the account. Every signup, this one included, starts as none (No access).
  2. While the account has no owner, one person at a time runs setup: they choose a plan or request the trial (see Plans overview) and connect BigQuery.
  3. The first person to save a working BigQuery connection becomes owner.
  4. Everyone else with the same domain joins the same account as none. They see the Access pending screen until an owner gives them a role. If setup stops for 24 hours, someone on that screen can take it over with Check again.

Roles

RoleSees scans and findingsChanges connections, rules, alerts, AI DBA, team, billingUses a seat

viewerYesNo. Can change only their own name and email choicesYes
none (No access)NoNoNo
  • Owners cannot remove the last owner.
  • You cannot change your own role.
  • Viewers see a read-only note on settings they cannot change.

Seats

A seat is one member with the owner or viewer role. You pick the mix.

PlanSeats
30-day trial1 (the owner)
Starter2

When all seats are in use, an owner cannot give a new person a role. Set someone to No access to free a seat, or upgrade. To downgrade to a plan with fewer seats, your team must fit first: set the extra members to No access, then change the plan. While a downgrade waits for the end of your billing period, the smaller plan's seat limit already counts.

Timezone

The account timezone sets day and month buckets everywhere: charts, tables, "month to date", budget periods and report emails. Set it to the timezone your finance team uses. Hour charts use UTC hours.

Spend commit

In Billing → Spend commit, owners can enter a contracted BigQuery amount, per month or per year. A yearly commit renews on its contract start date.

A yearly commit needs a paid plan billed yearly. On monthly billing, a trial, or after a plan ends, only a monthly commit can be set. A yearly commit is deleted when the plan moves to monthly billing or ends; the owner then enters a monthly one. The dashboard Commit used tile tracks it, and budget alerts use it. Click Remove commit to clear it.

Security tab

Password

Change your password. Your other devices are signed out. Logins with Google or Microsoft have no password here.

Signed-in devices

Every device signed in to your login, with location, sign-in time and last activity. Click Sign out other devices, or Sign out from all devices.

Owners also see Signed-in members: who on the team has a live login now. The Logged in users button in the top bar shows the same.

Login policy (Enterprise)

Owners on Enterprise can set rules for every member's login:

SettingChoices
Devices per personNo limit, one device only, up to 2, 3, 5 or 10 devices
Sign out after no activity forNever (7-day sign-in), 15 minutes, 30 minutes, 1 hour, 4 hours, 8 hours, 24 hours

A new sign-in over the device limit signs out that person's oldest device. When you save a stricter policy, devices over it are signed out at once, and the page says how many.

On other plans this section shows a lock.

Delete

  • Owners can delete the whole SlashPeak account: connections, scans, findings and members.
  • Members can leave: only their login is removed. The rest of the team keeps the account.

Type DELETE to confirm. This deletes nothing in Google Cloud. A paid subscription should be cancelled in Manage billing first.
