BigQuery billing summary
Compare INFORMATION_SCHEMA cost estimates with your actual GCP bill when you connect a FOCUS billing export.
The billing summary sits next to query-level estimates, on Dashboard → Executive Summary. Use it when finance asks “does this match the invoice?”
Without extra setup
SlashPeak still estimates query and storage cost from catalog and jobs. That is the number most engineering teams use day to day.
With a billing export
Invoice-level dollar totals — the SKU tab's waterfall on the Executive Summary, over the selected 7D / 30D / 90D range — come from a FOCUS billing export. See Billing export for the full setup: enable FOCUS export in GCP Billing, grant BigQuery Data Viewer on that one dataset, then enter the dataset name in Connection Settings. The export is mirrored into SlashPeak by the scan worker, at most once every 24 hours — never on a page load.
Disagreements
Invoices include CUDs, credits, rounding, and products that are not BigQuery jobs. INFORMATION_SCHEMA does not. A gap is expected. Use both views: billing for finance, findings for engineering action.
On the Enterprise plan, the percentage of spend is charged on whichever is lower: SlashPeak's own estimate, or the actual bill read from your billing export. See Enterprise.
Billing-export reconciliation is on every plan, including the trial.
