Views
Catalog of BigQuery views and materialized views, including refresh cost and staleness when the scan can see it.
The views page lists view and materialized-view objects from the same catalog scan as tables.
Why it exists
Views are cheap to create and easy to forget. Materialized views have refresh jobs that show up as BigQuery spend. This page is the inventory: what exists, what is stale, and what refresh activity we observed.
What “stale” means here
A materialized view that has not refreshed in the scan window, or a view whose underlying tables changed without a matching refresh, is worth a look. SlashPeak does not drop unused views for you.
Definition
Each row's "Definition" column expands to the CREATE VIEW / CREATE MATERIALIZED VIEW ... AS SELECT ... statement that created it, captured at the last scan. It reads "Not captured" until the next scan runs.
Linked usage
If query jobs reference a view, those jobs still appear under Usage by table and in findings when the SQL pattern matches a rule (for example SELECT * through a wide view).
