No. SlashPeak only reads metadata — job history, table definitions, storage sizes and reservation usage. It never runs a query against your actual rows and never requests the role that would let it. The one optional exception is a linked Cloud Billing export, where you grant read access on that single dataset of cost rows.

Required permissions: bigquery.jobs.create, bigquery.jobs.listAll, bigquery.datasets.get, bigquery.tables.get, bigquery.tables.list, bigquery.reservations.list, resourcemanager.projects.get, bigquery.readsessions.create, bigquery.readsessions.getData. You can review and verify every one of these before you paste a key — see the Security page for the exact list and what each one unlocks.

Encrypted at rest and only decrypted server-side at scan time. You can revoke access at any point by deleting the connection or the underlying service account key in GCP.

Yes. The application scopes every request to your account, and Postgres row-level security adds a second check on your account's records in the database.

After signup you choose: a free 30-day trial with no credit card, or a paid plan right away. You can move from the trial to a paid plan at any time, and its features start the moment you pay. Paid plans have no trial. Starter has 2 seats, every cost rule, anomaly detection, alerts, Cognis with 1x AI usage, scans every 6 hours, weekly or monthly report emails and 30 days of history. Growth adds 8 seats, Cognis AI DBA with GitHub pull requests, 2.5x AI usage, scans every 3 hours, daily report emails, 1 API key and the audit log. Pro adds 25 seats, hourly scans, 60 days of history, slot and reservation right-sizing, 5 API keys and 5x AI usage. Enterprise adds unlimited seats, 90 days of history, custom AI usage, a custom scan schedule, an SLA and a dedicated account team.

Yes. In Settings → Billing, click Change plan to see every plan. An upgrade starts at once: the unused part of your current plan counts as credit, a new billing period starts that day, and you pay the new price less that credit. A downgrade starts when your current period ends, and your team must fit in the new plan's seats first. Your history window follows the plan you are on: after a downgrade, history older than the new plan's window is deleted.

Yes, Starter, Growth and Pro are about 17% cheaper billed yearly than month to month. Enterprise is billed yearly by default.

Cognis answers plain-English questions about your spend using your own account's data — "which table cost the most last week" gets a real, sourced answer, not a guess. It is on Starter and above. The trial has no AI.

Cognis AI DBA applies a small set of safe, reversible fixes on top of what SlashPeak already finds. It is on Growth and above. It needs a separate operator key you create, starts paused and runs only inside a policy you set. By default an owner approves each action. Every change is logged and almost all can be rolled back.

Only if you allow it. It is off by default, and every action waits for an owner unless you switch that action type to run by itself. Then it runs only on the datasets and environments you pick, under daily and monthly limits you set. Some changes, such as resizing a reservation or switching the storage billing model, always need an owner.

As a pull request on your repository, opened through our GitHub App. Your CI runs against it like any other PR, and a person on your team reviews and merges — the AI DBA never merges on its own.

SlashPeak groups people by work email domain. When a teammate signs up with the same domain, they join your account with no access. An owner then makes them a viewer or an owner. Each viewer or owner uses one seat.

To email, Slack or your own webhook. You get cost spikes, budget alerts, new findings after a scan and Cognis AI DBA actions. Owners pick which alerts go where in Settings.

Yes. Connect any number of projects. We find the regions each project uses at the start of every scan, and you can turn a region off. See them side by side or rolled up into one view.

Plans stay warehouse-agnostic — the same tier gives you the same limits regardless of which warehouses you connect.
